Saywell International is a U.K. based authorised aerospace distributor for the Roller Bearing Company of America (otherwise known as RBC). This is our newest addition to our comprehensive range of bearing distribution agreements. They also incorporate the following bearing manufacturers within their family structure:
RBC Bearings were founded in 1919 on a philosophy of innovation, commitment and quality, which they still adhere to today. Their continuing aim is to produce high quality, cost-effective engineered solutions for any number of applications. Among the many manufacturers using RBC bearings are Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, SAAB, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Bombardier, Embraer Aircraft, Spirit Aerosystems, NASA, Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky, Boeing Mesa and Rotocrafts, Rolls-Royce, GE Aircraft Engines, Snecma, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, ASCO, Goodrich Aerospace, Moog, Smiths Aerospace, Parker Aerospace, Messier-Dowty, Raytheon, Primus University Swage, LeFiell, and Tyee.
RBC Bearings is a major manufacturer of bearings for critical and demanding aircraft and aerospace applications manufacturing high quality products such as: -
Industrial Tectonics Bearings Corporation
In 1990, RBC acquired Industrial Tectonics Bearings Corporation (ITB). ITB has been at the forefront of anti-friction bearings design and manufacture since 1956. Utilizing the experience gained in the production of bearings for use in space, nuclear power and turbo machinery equipment they have now applied the same philosophy to the design and manufacture of aircraft control bearings.
ITB offer a complete range of ball bearings to meet the requirements of the aircraft industry. All aircraft control bearings are manufactured fully compliant to U.S. Government standards and specifications and are designed and manufactured under demanding quality requirements. It is also the main facility for the production of 52100 cad plated, CRES 440C and zinc nikel plate airframe control ball bearings. As the leading producer of airframe control products, RBC has virtually every series and size Mil-Spec approval.
Transport Dynamics
Founded in 1955 Tranasport Dynamics (TDC) prided themselves on being the leaders in self-lubricating bearing technology. TDC pioneered the lined spherical bearing , first developing the product in 1957. TDC was acquired in 1992 and now produce plain bearings, manufacturing journal bearings (bushings), spherical plain and rod end products. They offer over 30 different liner systems based on the load, wear and temperature conditions.
The majority of the stock held by Saywell International is from the TDC division of RBS, our extensive range of stock includes MS14101, MS14102, MS14103 and MS14104 series. We also stock the V2500 engine bearings.
Heim Bearings
Incorporated into the RBC Bearings group in 1993, Saywell International are able to offer the aerospace Heim Bearings as part of our authorized aerospace distribution agreement.
It was in 1942 that Lewis R. Heim developed and produced the first integral rod end bearing in the United States. Since then Heim bearings have continued with a tradition of technological innovation encompassing improvements in the design and production of Rod Ends, Spherical Bearings and Un-Ground Ball Bearings.
Heim Bearings strive to offer numerous design advantages, high quality product and unparalleled engineering support to you, the customer. They offer the industry’s widest range of rod end types and sizes, a wide variety of designs and materials in their comprehensive range of spherical bearings and offer a unique un-ground ball bearing, which is a high capacity, full complement unitised design offering a long life and smooth operation in an economical package.
Although widely available as a commercial product Saywell International concentrate on offering fully certified and traceable aerospace products from the Heim range on an as required basis.
Schaublin SA
Switzerland based Schaublin SA specialised in metric rod ends and metric spherical bearings, when acquired by RBC in 2000, they became the European distribution arm. Around the same time RBC also opened RBC France. A sales, engineering, marketing and distribution centre for Schaublin products.
RBC Aircraft Products
Formerly Torrington “Standard” Plant, founded in 1866, an established leader in airframe products. The Torrington reputation for quality engineering and precision compliments RBC’s portfolio of aerospace products. RBC Aircraft products manufacture needle track roller bearings, cam followers, radial ball bearings and specializes series of airframe control ball bearings.
Southwest Products Inc
Manufactures plain bearings in addition to some speciality design capabilities and self-lubricating liner systems.
Allpower Manufacturing
As a Boeing and Airbus approved supplier, Allpower manufacturing produce precision bushings, spacers, sleeves and specialty machined parts.
AID Company
The assets of AID company were incorporated in RBS in 2008. Founded in 1948 manufacturing aircraft ignition systems. They now manufacture swaged tubes, flash welded pushpull rods and control rods for military applications.
