Saywell International are an approved distributor of Timken FAA-PMA approved aircraft landing wheel bearings for commercial and military applications and have also been awarded “Aircraft Landing Wheel Specialists”. We have held an authorised aerospace distribution for Timken products for over 20 years working very closely with Timken giving us full technical support to help you the customer.

The vast majority of Timken bearings available from Saywell International are to the current aircraft inspection code of 20629.  Since 2001, Timken part numbers have been sold with the code -20629 suffixed to the part number.  An explanation of this can be found under “Related Information” on the right hand side of this page.

All of the FAA-PMA approved landing wheel bearings are manufactured in the U.S.A., supplied with an FAA 8130-3 and undergo the most stringent of inspections to be released to the current aircraft inspection code of 20629. The Timken Company were created in 1899 in a St. Louis, Missouri carriage factory, where founder Henry Timken developed and patented the Timken tapered roller bearing. His son’s then moved the company to the U.S. industrial heartland of Canton, Ohio in 1901 from where they have become a world leader in the design and manufacture of wheel bearings.

Timken Super Precision Bearings (MPB)

Founded in 1941 by Winslow Pierce and prospered with the requirements for aircraft instrument bearing during World War II. MPB was the first manufacturing plant devoted to production of miniature bearings.

Now wholly owned by Timken, Timken Super Precision are committed to produce the highest standard of quality bearings through manufacturing processed and investment in equipment and people.

Timken Super Precision offer miniature and instrument bearings, high speed bearings, full complement bearings, metric bearings and also special products.
