Thales Optronics have over 60 years experience in designing and manufacturing a complete range of Pitot and Pitot static probes for the most demanding environments. Their probes utilise self-regulating heaters which provide long life and high reliability.

We hold the complete range of the Thales Optronics (Taunton) pitot, pitot static probes and attitude monitors in stock; so delivery/lead time is never an issue.

Nose/Boom Mounted Probes
These probes are designed for mounting on the nose, wing or fin of the airframe. Where a high degree of accuracy is required probes with aerodynamically compensated static ports can be supplied.

Mast Mounted Probes
This type of probe is designed for installation on the side of the fuselage. As with boom type probe, aerodynamically compensated ports can be provided. The mounting flange, electrical and pneumatic interfaces are tailored to suit the customers requirements.

Static Plates
Thales Optronics are able to design and manufacture fuselage mounted static plates. These can be contoured to match the aircraft shape and electrically heated.

Heaters
Thales Optronics manufactures a range of heated devices. These include static vent heaters, water pipe heaters and floor panels. Heated structures are manufactured where de-icing or anti-icing is required.
